guiding light

Before we begin on any new journey we invariably pause to consider the path that we will take, and the various support systems that we should embrace to guide our way forward. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to the navigational assistance available to us, celestial satellites like orbiting gods beam down instruction to our technological support systems. Like Guardians of the Galaxy they orchestrate the convenient movement of the masses.

Our guides have always been ‘other worldly’, primordial forces that govern the planetary universe ultimately dictating the life flow of our earthly abode with perfect sequential harmony. We are a part of this majestic matrix of galactic symmetry, caught up in the suns gravitational agenda for our solar system. Her mesmerizing luminosity, like a Solar Deity, metaphors the daily need for illumination and elucidation.

‘You, (YES YOU) are the light of the world’.   - St John

Light is our divine metaphor, a reminder that humans are bioluminescent, (the biochemical emission of light by living organisms).  At a cellular level we are intrinsically formed by light, made in the image of light itself, emitting a radiance that forms the mosaic of human interaction and collective consciousness.

'By your words I can see where I'm going; they throw a beam of light on my dark path’. - Book of Psalms

The ancient mystics surround us like a cloud of witness, faithful light bearers who have gone before us, prehistoric pioneers who forged a path for future generations to walk on. Their bravery and courage is etched in the history books of antiquity as a constant reminder of our hopeful futurity.

Our everyday guidance is facilitated by the attention we give to the sacred signs that appear before our eyes, all living things past and present somehow conspiring together to enlighten our journey of personal becoming.

‘I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye (light) on you'. –Book of Psalms
